Mazad Announces Dedicated Auction for Young People’s Creative Works

Mazad, Bahrain’s leading digital auction and marketplace platform and a Mumtalakat portfolio company, has announced the launch of a dedicated youth auction on the sidelines of its participation in the 15th edition of Youth City 2030, marking the culmination of Mazad’s successful participation in the event, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in strategic partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

The auction will be open exclusively to young people between the ages of 18 and 35, who will be invited to list and auction items of their own making, including works created during their participation in Youth City 2030.

The youth auction will provide young Bahrainis with a practical platform to showcase their creativity and work, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators and creators, strengthening the visibility of their creative work, and opening wider opportunities for them to transform their ideas into promising ventures.

Mr. Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, stressed that Mazad’s participation in Youth City 2030 reflects the importance of partnerships that connect young people with practical industry knowledge and provide them with the space to apply the knowledge and skills they gain. He noted that the success of the leadership workshops, alongside the announcement of the youth auction, creates an integrated pathway through which participants can transform their knowledge and creativity into tangible outcomes and opportunities.

Nezar Habib, Chief Executive Officer of Mazad, said that the strong turnout and engagement across the workshops demonstrated the ambition of Bahrain’s youth and their eagerness to gain practical leadership and business experience. He noted that as Youth City 2030 concludes, and stemming from Mazad’s commitment to investing in Bahraini youth and talent, the youth auction will give participants the opportunity to move from learning to action.

He added that opening Mazad’s platform to young people’s creativity will help emerging entrepreneurs and young creators showcase their work, test their ideas and take a meaningful step towards bringing those ideas to market.

As part of its participation in the Leadership & Entrepreneurship Centre at Youth City 2030, Mazad successfully delivered a series of workshops that attracted wide attendance and strong engagement from young people seeking practical insight into the modern business environment.

Through interactive sessions, participants explored how design, marketing, data analytics, sales, business development and operations work together to shape business decisions and support organisational growth. The workshops provided participants with practical knowledge and perspectives that they can apply throughout their academic, professional and entrepreneurial journeys.

To participate in the Youth Auction, young creators and entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 who wish to list an item are invited to complete the submission form available at mazad.bh or through Mazad’s official Instagram account @mazadbahrain.
